Custom Spiral Journals

Custom spiral and wire-o journals with your logo. The binding lets the journal lie completely flat on a desk or fold back on itself, so it works on a lap, a clipboard or a small table at a conference. Covers range from hard and soft to full color printed.

Spiral or wire-o

A spiral is a single continuous coil; a wire-o is a double loop that keeps facing pages aligned and looks more finished. Both let the journal fold back 360 degrees. Castelli Wireo diaries and academic planners use a wire-o binding; see Castelli journals and planners.

Who buys spiral journals

Note takers who write on their lap, trainers who keep a journal open next to a laptop, and left-handed writers who prefer a binding they can fold out of the way. Corner-bound spirals keep the coil away from the writing hand entirely.

Decoration and limits

The logo goes on the front cover by deboss, foil, screen printing or full color printing. The coil itself is not decorated, and on a hard cover spiral the imprint area stops short of the binding, so wide horizontal logos may need to shrink.

Questions buyers ask

Do spiral journals last as long as bound journals?

The coil can bend if the journal is crushed in a bag. Wire-o and heavier gauge coils hold their shape better. For a gift that should look new after months of travel, a book bound hardcover is safer.

Can pages be removed?

Yes, pages tear out more cleanly from a spiral than from a bound journal. Some spiral journals have perforated pages for that reason.

Are spiral planners available?

Yes. Many weekly and academic planners use a wire binding so the week lies flat. They are listed under planners as well as here.
